Fleetwood Town easily saw off the challenge of Sheffield United with goals from Josh Morris and Nick Haughton this afternoon.
The first real action of note was when Conor McLaughlin misplaced a pass back to his own keeper, but Jose Baxter could not take advantage and shot high and wide into the stand.
Morris got Fleetwood on the scoreboard first with a thumping effort from 20 yards out, although he was subsequently booked for his celebrations with the away fans.
Haughton then got his club's second goal, smashing in a long-range shot after his initial free kick attempt hit the wall. Matt Done got a consolation header for United just before half time.
Haughton continued to trick his way through the Sheffield defence with a number of dribbles and long-range efforts that flew just wide.
Morris then hit a shot over the bar as Fleetwood continued to press up the park but the score stayed at 2-1.
The result sees Fleetwood climb to 12th position in the league while Sheffield remain in fifth.
