Vicente Del Bosque: 'France are like us'

Vicente Del Bosque sees similarities between his Spain side and Laurent Blanc's France, who they meet in the Euro 2012 quarter-finals.

Vicente Del Bosque believes that there are plenty of similarities between his Spain side and quarter-final opponents France.

The two nations meet in the Euro 2012 last eight on Saturday after Spain topped Group C and Les Bleus finished runners-up to England in Group D.

Defending champions Spain are favourites to progress but Del Bosque has insisted that the French will prove a tough obstacle to overcome.

"France were the most complicated, potential rival and the strongest team in Group D," said the 61-year-old.

"They have players who are very good technically and well organised. I think they'll play like us. The French have no complexes."

France knocked Spain out of the 2006 World Cup the last time the two nations met in a major tournament.
