France coach Didier Deschamps was satisfied with his side's win after they beat Finland 1-0 in Friday's opening World Cup qualifier in Helsinki.
Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby scored the only goal of the game with 20 minutes on the clock as Les Bleus started their campaign with three points.
"In general, we did not start well. We had opportunities in the second half, but there were two beautiful saves from the Finnish goalkeeper," Deschamps told M6.
"In the end, there were dangerous situations. [When] we do not score the second goal, [the result] is never safe. [However] it is good to win."
Next up for France is the visit of Belarus on Tuesday.
