Former Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has admitted that he wants to get back into work "as quick as possible" after a vacancy opened up at Fulham.
The Cottagers sacked Felix Magath after the German coach oversaw the Championship side suffer six defeats in seven league matches.
Hughton has been out of work since he was dismissed by the Canaries with five Premier League games left to play last season.
"I am keen to get back in as quick as possible and I have been for a while now," Hughton told talkSPORT.
"It is an unfortunate part of the game that you are, in effect, waiting for somebody to lose their job before you have the opportunity to get back in. But am I very keen to get back in as soon as possible."
Hughton is believed to be a candidate for the position, along with former Watford boss Gianfranco Zola.
