Scott Parker: 'Fulham need points quickly'

Scott Parker admits that Fulham need to pick up points quickly if they are to avoid relegation.

Fulham midfielder Scott Parker has admitted that the team need to pick up points quickly if they are to stay in the Premier League.

The Cottagers slipped into the relegation zone on Saturday as they went down 2-1 at home to Swansea City - their fourth consecutive defeat in the league.

"It's going to be a difficult year for us with the way it's started in terms of points," he told Fulham's official website.

"If you look at the table it doesn't look pretty – it's there for all to see. We need to get some points because it's going to be a tough season for us. We know that."

Fulham are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they make the trip to fellow strugglers West Ham United.
