Fulham have reportedly identified Burnley defender James Tarkowski as a summer transfer target.
After the Clarets were relegated from the Premier League at the weekend, key man Tarkowski is expected to depart Turf Moor on a free transfer after a six-and-a-half-year stay.
The 29-year-old is not short of admirers with Aston Villa and Everton the latest clubs said to be interested in signing the soon-to-be free agent.
According to the Daily Mail, they will face competition from Fulham, who view the England international as a potentially important signing ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Although the Cottagers will be regarded as outsiders to win the race for Tarkowski's signature, the player has previously spent time in London with Brentford.
Other clubs are likely to enter the mix for the centre-back, who is unlikely to be in any rush to make a decision on his future given the level of interest.
