Good evening and welcome to Sports Mole’s live text commentary of the crucial Champions League tie between Galatasaray and Juventus at the Turk Telekom Arena.

We have a huge game in prospect this evening, as the group stages come to an end. It's as simple as this. If Juventus win or draw they are through, while only a victory for Galatasaray will secure their passage into the last 16.

Juventus are currently in second place with six points in Group B, while Galatasaray have four points and are in third place. Bottom side Copenhagen have four points, but cannot qualify for the knockout rounds due to their inferior record. They can however, finish in third place, if they beat Real Madrid in tonight's other game.

The two teams played out a 2-2 draw the last time they met in October. Didier Drogba gave the Turkish side the lead, before goals from Arturo Vidal and Fabio Quagliarella turned the game in Juventus’s favour. However, with just two minutes left to play, Umut Bulut fired in to earn them a point. That late goal may prove to be even more crucial than first thought if they end up winning tonight.

TEAM NEWS: Both managers have revealed their starting lineups for this evening's game so I can bring them to you now.

GALATASARAY XI: Muslera, Zan, Chedjou, Kaya, Eboue, Melo, Inan, Sneijder, Riera, Drogba, Yilmaz

JUVENTUS XI: Buffon, Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Marchisio, Asamoah, Vidal, Tevas, Llorente

GALATASARAY SUBS: Ceylan, Nounkeu, Gulselam, Bruma, Kurtulus, Emre Colak, Bulut

JUVENTUS SUBS: Storari, Caceres, Ogbonna, Padoin, Isla, Giovinco, Quagliarella

The two teams have understandably named strong lineups for this evening's game. Wesley Sneijder missed out for Galatasaray in their last league match but is fit enough to return to the side.

Juventus rested Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente for their Serie A match last week and both are back in Antonio Conte's starting XI, but two players not in the squad are the injured Andrea Pirlo and Mirko Vucinic.

A quick look at the Group B table will tell that both teams have recorded just one win from their five games before tonight. Those victories both finished in the same 3-1 scoreline against Copenhagen.

Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini will be aware that Juventus have gone the last nine-games unbeaten and are currently top of the Serie A table. They have lost just one league game all season and their only defeat in Europe was a 2-1 reverse to Real Madrid.

Juventus won their seventh straight league win without conceding after victory over Bologna last week, which is another example of the tough test awaiting the Turkish team tonight.

In contrast, Galatasaray have only kept one clean sheet under Mancini, which was in their last league game. They have conceded 14 goals in the group so far, although 10 of those were in 6-1 and 4-1 defeats against Real Madrid.

As well as all the action in Turkey, there are some big games going on in Europe this evening. Manchester City face Bayern Munich to determine who will top Group D, while Olympiakos and Benfica will battle it out for second place in Group C. Real Madrid are guaranteed top spot in Group B, while Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayer Leverkusen are looking to go through from Group A along with Manchester United.

PREDICTION: The visitors will go into this game full of confidence from their recent league form, that sees them three points clear at the top of the Serie A table. In contrast, Galatasaray are third in the league and are nine points behind leaders Fenerbahce. The home fans will get behind their team and make it a tough night for the Italians, but I feel that they will have enough quality to hold on and go through to the last 16. I think this game will end in a 1-1 draw.

I can tell you that the rain is pouring down in Istanbul, which will only add to the intensity of tonight's game.

It will be interesting to see what will happen should the hosts take the lead. We all know how passionate their home fans are and a goal will certainly have an effect on the players.

REFEREE: Taking charge this evening will be Pedro Proenca.

The fans are making a huge amount of noise in the stadium, as the players make their way out of the tunnel.

The Champions League music has finished and it's almost time for this winner takes all game to start.

KICKOFF! The home side kickoff and we are underway at the Turk Telekom Arena!

The home side pass the ball patiently around the pitch, before Riera bursts forward down the left and forces an early corner.

It was a poor corner and failed to beat the first man. With Drogba in the middle, you have to make the most from those chances.

Galatasaray have had all of the ball in these opening stages and have pegged their opponents deep inside their own half. The ball finally breaks to Sneijder who whips a cross into the middle, that gets a deflection and goes out for another corner.

It's another poor corner by the hosts, as the kick goes straight out of play and the danger is gone.

Juventus begin to see a bit of possession and win a free kick inside the home side's half after Tevez is brought down.

For the third time this game we have seen a really poor set piece, as again the ball fails to beat the first man.

The home side are patient in possession and work the ball gradually up the pitch before finding Riera. He delivers a fine cross into the middle, but the Juventus defence do well to stop it reaching Drogba at the back post.

Riera delivers another teasing ball into the middle, that Drogba is inches away from connecting with. It's surely just a matter of time before the striker is found.

CHANCE! Juventus have the first big opportunity of the evening. The ball is whipped into the middle and Llorente takes a touch, before turning and poking an effort just past the post.

YELLOW CARD! Marchisio picks up the first booking of the evening for a poor foul from behind on Eboue. The hosts will have a free kick in a promising position here, around 25 yards out from goal.

CHANCE! Selcuk whips the free kick over the wall, but it goes just wide of the post. Buffon looked to have that covered and wasn't too concerned to see it miss the goal.

Almost a mix up in the home defence as Muslera comes to collect a through ball, but his team take no risk and hammer it out of play. Juventus get the throw in, but Tevez is unable to latch onto it and it goes out for a goal kick.

After coming under some pressure deep inside their own half, Galatasaray break forward and Eboue forces a corner kick.

The corner wasn't the worst from Sneijder, but it is cleared to Riera on the edge of the box, who lashes a strike over the bar.

The weather conditions have taken a turn for the worse here, as there is strong hail coming down now.

Referee Proenca has called for a change of ball, to bright Orange, with the weather making it difficult for the players to see.

Chiellini bursts to the byline and stands up a brilliant cross that is headed behind for a corner before it can reach Llorente.

The home side manage to clear it away, but they have a problem, as Eboue is down on the edge of his own area. It looks like he's in a lot of pain.

Eboue is back up and it looks like he is going to be okay to continue.

The referee has called the players together to talk about the condition of the pitch. It is completely covered and you can barely see the lines.

The players are leaving the pitch and heading back down the tunnel.

The hail has calmed down and the game looks like it will be resumed after the groundsmen cleared the pitch so we can see the lines.

As soon as we have more news on the situation we will bring it to you, but for now the game has been suspended. Up until now the home side were the better of the two, but have not created any big chances in attack.

Juventus have had the best opening in the game, with Llorente's effort that went just wide of the goal the closest we have come.

UPDATE: While the game has been stopped here, let's take a look at what's going on around Europe. Real Madrid are beating Copenhagen in Group B's other tie thanks to Luka Modric's goal. Bayern Munich look set to top Group D, as they lead Manchester City 2-1. The only other goals scored this evening are in Group C where it is 1-1 between Benfica and Paris Saint Germain, and 1-1 between Olympiakos and Anderlecht.

The hail is still coming down heavily here in Istanbul and the officials have just come out to have another look around.

The lines around the pitch have been cleared and it looks positive that the game is going to continue. The key areas inside the box and the centre circle are visible after being completely covered around 20 minutes ago.

The latest news we are hearing is that this match has been abandoned.

MATCH ABANDONED: We have confirmation that the game has been abandoned due to adverse weather. There has been no word on when the game will be replayed, in what is crucial to both side's qualification to the knockout stages.

After an unfortunate early end to this evening's action, that's all we have time for. Please stay with us for all of today's Champions League ties, but from me, it's goodbye!
