Germany defender Mats Hummels has claimed that his teammates are "extremely motivated" ahead of Friday's Euro 2012 quarter-final against Greece.
The three-time winners were the only side to come out of the group stages having won all three of their matches as they topped Group B.
"We don't want to go out at the quarter-finals, especially not after such a strong showing in the group stages, so we are going into the game extremely motivated and ready," the 23-year-old told dfb.de.
"We don't want to make it an exciting and close game. We want to take the lead early."
Greece, who shocked many by winning the tournament in 2004, finished behind the Czech Republic in Group A.
