Borussia Dortmund have announced that Ilkay Gundogan will not be able to play for Germany at Euro 2016 after dislocating his kneecap.
The 25-year-old is expected to be out for a number of months after suffering the injury in training.
He will definitely miss the Euros in France and this latest problem could also affect any possible summer move away, with Manchester City heavily linked with the midfielder recently.
Gundogan has made 48 Bundesliga appearances the last two seasons for Dortmund after missing almost all of the 2013-14 campaign because of a back injury.
