Monday's World Cup qualifying predictions including North Macedonia vs. Germany

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Monday's World Cup qualifying fixtures, including North Macedonia vs. Germany.

Cyprus vs. Malta (Monday, 5.00pm)

Malta's Alexander Satariano celebrates scoring their second goal with teammates on March 27, 2021© Reuters

Cyprus and Malta will only be playing for pride when they go head to head in World Cup 2022 qualification action in Larnaca on Friday evening.

The two nations find themselves level on points at the bottom of Group H, with just four points from seven matches, and cut adrift from the other sides as a result.

We say: Cyprus 1-0 Malta

Cyprus should be able to make the most of their little extra quality when they host Malta on Monday, with home advantage potentially playing a part too.

The hosts will be out for revenge after the disappointing defeat when the nations met last month, with the red card proving to be a game-changer in that one.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Latvia vs. Turkey (Monday, 7.45pm)

Turkey's Kaan Ayhan celebrates scoring their second goal with teammates on May 27, 2021© Reuters

Turkey will endeavour to return to winning ways in World Cup 2022 Qualifying Group G when they travel to Latvia for Monday's encounter.

The visitors could only draw 1-1 with Norway in their Friday night game, while Dainis Kazakevics's men suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Netherlands last time out.

We say: Latvia 0-2 Turkey

Latvia have proven to be a tough nut to crack for Turkey in years gone by, and the home crowd have every right to dream of a memorable win given their opponents' miserable run of form.

However, the returns of Soyuncu and Kokcu could yet prove pivotal to Turkey's chances of a much-needed three points, and we expect Kuntz to claim his first win with the Crescent-Stars at the second attempt here, but it will be no walkover.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Netherlands vs. Gibraltar (Monday, 7.45pm)

Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal pictured on September 1, 2021© Reuters

The Netherlands will aim to cement their position atop the rankings in World Cup 2022 qualification Group G when they face Gibraltar in Rotterdam on Monday night.

Louis van Gaal's side claimed a 1-0 win over Latvia during their most recent contest, while their visitors succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Montenegro.

We say: Netherlands 5-0 Gibraltar

Europe's best goalscorers pitting their wits against the continent's leakiest defence only spells one outcome, even if Van Gaal takes this opportunity to hand chances to his up-and-coming starlets.

While Oranje inexplicably found the back of the net just once against Latvia, they ought to have no problem producing a five-star performance to ease past the minnows.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Norway vs. Montenegro (Monday, 7.45pm)

Norway will aim to keep the pressure on the Netherlands at the top of World Cup 2022 Qualifying Group G when they welcome Montenegro to the Ullevaal Stadion on Monday night.

The Scandinavian hosts were held to a 1-1 draw by Turkey last time out, while the visitors eased to a 3-0 victory over whipping boys Gibraltar.

We say: Norway 2-1 Montenegro

Montenegro command plenty of respect as they remain in the mix for a second-placed finish, and they ought to be on cloud nine after ending their winless streak in emphatic fashion last time out.

However, the hosts have strung together an impressive unbeaten run in qualification and are coping just fine in the absence of three crucial centre-forwards, so we expect Norway to tighten their grip on second place with a hard-fought win.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Croatia vs. Slovakia (Monday, 7.45pm)

Top-of-the-group Croatia will be looking to take one step closer to sealing qualification for the World Cup 2022 when they host Slovakia in Osijek on Monday evening.

The hosts currently sit level on points with Russia at the top of Group H, whilst the visitors will be hoping to spring a surprise to keep their slim hopes of reaching next year's global tournament alive.

We say: Croatia 2-0 Slovakia

Croatia's solid defensive displays, coupled with Slovakia's inability to find the net regularly, mean that a clean sheet for the hosts on Monday is a likely outcome.

However, the visitors possess a mean defence themselves, so few goals are expected in this vital match, where the hosts should possess enough quality to all but seal qualification, whilst condemning their visitors to an unsuccessful qualifying campaign.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Slovenia vs. Russia (Monday, 7.45pm)

Slovenia will be aware that nothing less than a win will be required when they host Russia in their World Cup 2022 qualification match in Maribor on Monday evening.

The hosts currently find themselves in third place, one position but six points behind their opponents ahead of the vital meeting, with only two matches each to follow in Group H.

We say: Slovenia 1-0 Russia

Home advantage could be key here for the Slovenians, as they search for a vital win against a Russia side that performed so poorly despite victory last time out.

Although the visitors find themselves level on points at the top of the group, we think the hosts will carry their momentum from Friday into this one and pick up a narrow win during a tight encounter between two stubborn defences.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.

Iceland vs. Liechtenstein (Monday, 7.45pm)

Iceland welcome Liechtenstein to Laugardalsvollur in Reykjavik on Monday evening for the latest round of World Cup 2022 European qualifiers in Group J.

The hosts have had a poor campaign and sit fifth in the group, whilst their opponents are group underdogs as ever and have picked up just a solitary point so far.

We say: Iceland 2-0 Liechtenstein

Despite Iceland's struggles of late, a home fixture against lowly Liechtenstein should not trouble them overly and we are backing them to secure a comfortable victory, which will make their points tally a little more respectable, at least.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

N. Macedonia vs. Germany (Monday, 7.45pm)

Germany travel to the Tose Proeski Arena in Skopje to take on North Macedonia on Monday evening as the World Cup 2022 European qualifiers head towards their conclusion.

The visitors sit comfortably top of Group J with a near-perfect record, whilst the hosts moved up to the all-important second spot after a victory in their last game.

We say: North Macedonia 1-2 Germany

North Macedonia now technically have a 100% success record in this fixture, the pair having only met the once, but we expect that to end with a narrow Germany victory.

The hosts have more at stake but Flick and his side will surely have too much class for them on this occasion.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Romania vs. Armenia (Monday, 7.45pm)

Romania and Armenia meet for a crunch match in World Cup 2022 qualification action at The Steaua Stadium in Bucharest on Monday evening.

The two sides sit third and fourth in Group J, just behind North Macedonia in second who currently occupy the all-important playoff spot.

We say: Romania 1-1 Armenia

Whilst both teams will want the win here, they will be even more desperate not to lose. Expect a tight game between two solid defences and most likely a low-scoring draw come full time, which will set up a very exciting end to this fascinating battle for the Group J playoff spot.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Belarus vs. Czech Republic (Monday, 7.45pm)

Czech Republic manager Jaroslav Silhavy reacts on June 27, 2021© Reuters

Czech Republic cannot mathematically catch Group E leaders Belgium anymore, and with two games to go in this World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign, Jaroslav Silhavy's side are aiming to retain their current second-place position.

Belarus are Czech Republic's hosts on Monday evening, and the home side are looking to end the six-game losing streak that they are currently enduring.

We say: Belarus 1-2 Czech Republic

Czech Republic showed some defensive frailties against Wales on Friday which is why it is likely Belarus will be able to get on the scoresheet on Monday.

However, with a lot at stake for Silhavy's side, they should be attempting to dominate the game in Kazan and they are the favourites for three points in this fixture.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Estonia vs. Wales (Monday, 7.45pm)

The hunt to secure qualification for the Qatar World Cup 2022 continues on Monday evening when Wales travel to A Le Coq Arena where they will face Estonia in Group E.

Rob Page's side enter this fixture on the back of a draw against Czech Republic, while Estonia are unbeaten in their last two qualifying games and will be full of confidence after securing their first win last time out.

We say: Estonia 0-2 Wales

Wales could do with increasing their goal difference to help catch Czech Republic in second place, but they do not tend to score more than two goals in a single game, only doing so once in their last 13 matches.

However, despite perhaps a lack of confidence in front of goal, Wales will want to rectify the two points which they dropped against Estonia in Cardiff last month and they should be able to nullify any threat from the home side while showing some quality in the attacking third.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
