Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon reacts to his side's 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Swedish outfit Malmo.

Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon has admitted that he was "embarrassed" watching his side go down 7-0 to Swedish outfit Malmo in this evening's Europa League clash.

The Scottish club were hammered in the home leg of the fixture to come away 9-0 losers on aggregate.

"I'm embarrassed more than anything else. It's difficult to say too much to be honest," Sky Sports News quotes Fenlon as saying.

"We did alright at the start of the game and then conceded a goal and lost our way. It's very, very disappointing."

The Hibs boss went on to praise the club's supporters and apologised to them for the performance his players put in.

"It's difficult to say anything after a game like that. I've got to look at myself and not just blame players," he added.

"The fans were fantastic and I apologise to the supporters. I won't make excuses, it's not good enough. I know how they're feeling."

Fenlon also admitted that the thrashing was among the worst defeats of his career.
