Elias Kachunga is facing around three months on the sidelines with knee ligament damage, but left-back Chris Lowe is unlikely to spend any time out with his foot injury.

Huddersfield Town have announced that they are expected to be without striker Elias Kachunga for the next three months due to knee ligament damage.

The 25-year-old picked up the injury during the 19th minute of the Terriers' 4-1 win at Watford on Saturday, soon after getting off the mark with his first top-flight goal.

A clash with opposition keeper Heurelho Gomes has left Kachunga facing up to 12 weeks on the sidelines, with a scan on Monday morning confirming medial collateral ligament damage.

There is better news elsewhere, though, as left-back Chris Lowe - also taken off at Vicarage Road - is likely to be back for next weekend's meeting with Southampton after avoiding a serious foot injury.

Town are currently 11th in the Premier League table after picking up their second away win of the campaign at Watford.
