Hull City's Jake Livermore confident of upsetting Southampton

Jake Livermore is confident that Hull City can get a result against Southampton at the KC Stadium tonight.

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore believes that his side are capable of beating Southampton at the KC Stadium this evening.

The Tigers will take on their Premier League opponents, with the home side sitting eight points adrift of Southampton in the table.

"It's a good time to play Southampton at our place and we think we're strong here," the Hull Daily Mail quotes Livermore as saying.

"We've got a new lease of life now and a slightly different system. We've got more outlets, so hopefully they (Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic) can cause problems and we can build on that higher up the pitch instead of sitting off like down at their place."

Hull were beaten 4-1 at St Mary's Stadium in November.
