Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor 'out for the rest of the season'

Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor is expected to miss the remainder of the season with kidney damage.

Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor is likely miss the remainder of the season after sustaining kidney damage during his side's 2-1 loss to West Ham United.

The Scot was taken to hospital after colliding with Mohamed Diame during the match, and was later told by a specialist that he will miss the Tigers' final seven games, The Mirror reports.

Steve Harper will deputise for McGregor for the remainder of the season, and Hull have recalled third-choice stopper Eldin Jakupovic from his loan spell with Leyton Orient.

Hull are expected to issue an official statement about McGregor's condition on Friday.
