Paul McShane: "We deserved at least a point"

Hull City defender Paul McShane believes that his side should have taken a point at the least from their Premier League defeat to Chelsea at the KC Stadium.

Hull City defender Paul McShane has claimed that his side deserved a point from their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea at the KC Stadium.

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa fired the Blues into a 2-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes, but Steve Bruce's men responded through strikes from Ahmed Elmohamady and Abel Hernandez.

The match was an even contest in the second half until 12 minutes from time when Loic Remy found the net to clinch the three points for Jose Mourinho's side.

McShane told Sky Sports News: "We deserved at least a point. I feared the worst when we went 2-0 down.

"We have to build on this performance. I don't think anyone expected us to get anything from the game but we had belief.

"We showed some good fight. The lads worked hard and got close to people. We have to cause an upset somewhere along the way in the rest of the season."

Hull remain three points clear of the relegation zone with eight games to play this season.
