Hull City have signed defender Angus MacDonald from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old joins the Tigers on a two-and-a-half-year deal with an option of a further year.
"It's a big step for me and I'm looking forward to getting going here," MacDonald told the club's official website.
"This is a big club and a chance for me to progress my career. When you arrive at a club, you're always going to have to fight for a place in the team and I'll look to do that by trying to impress in training."
MacDonald joined Barnsley from Torquay United in the summer of 2016, going on to become club captain at Oakwell.
The move sees the player reunite with boss Nigel Adkins, who managed him while in the youth ranks at Reading.
