Andrea Stramaccioni delighted with 'entertaining' win

New Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni expresses his delight at starting his reign off with an entertaining win.

New Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni has expressed his delight at starting his reign at the club with three points after beating Genoa in a nine-goal thriller this afternoon.

Stramaccioni saw his side race into a three-goal lead before being pegged back just before half time through a Genoa penalty.

The second half saw three more spot-kicks and two red cards as Inter struggled to hold off the challenge from Genoa.

Stramaccioni, however, was happy with his side's performance and the entertaining manner in which they won.

"I think the most important thing is that Inter won. The fact it came in such a spectacular manner will please President Moratti, as he did ask us to entertain him." joked the 36-year-old.

"I saw an attacking and positive Inter that were able to express the qualities of its individuals. I really liked the first half performance, apart from conceding that late goal that restored Genoa's confidence.

"It was a victory of the whole group, as everyone gave their contribution, from the starting XI to the substitutes."

The result lifted Inter up to seventh in the league, but they are still 20 points behind league leaders and local rivals AC Milan.
