Burnley boss Sean Dyche rubbishes Jay Rodriguez to Inter Milan rumours

Burnley manager Sean Dyche rubbishes the recent reports linking forward Jay Rodriguez with a move to Italian side Inter Milan ahead of his side's game with Everton.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has rubbished recent reports linking forward Jay Rodriguez with a move to Italian side Inter Milan.

Antonio Conte's side have won their opening six Serie A games this season, while the England international is yet to start for the Clarets in the Premier League since returning to the club from West Bromwich Albion in the summer.

Speaking ahead of Burnley's game with Everton this weekend, Dyche said: "In my time here, I've heard some weird and wonderful things and I think that's certainly in my top 10 and probably in my top five for oddness.

"He's just re-joined the club for one. I don't know where that one has come from."

Rodriguez has scored twice in eight appearances for the Clarets this season, taking him to a total of 43 goals for his boyhood club across two spells.
