Ipswich and Bristol City share a 1-1 scoreline at Portman Road at half time.

Ipswich Town and Bristol City go into the break level at Portman Road in the Championship.

Neil Danns had given the Robins the lead early on, before Tommy Smith's overhead kicked levelled the match for the hosts.

It was the visitors who had the game's opening chance, as good link-up play between Paul Anderson and Greg Cunningham resulted in a cross to Jon Stead, but the latter was unable to convert it.

The hosts then responded with a chance of their own but Luke Chambers failed to connect with Smith's cross from 10 yards out.

However, the Robins took the lead just a few minutes later, as Danns ran onto a loose ball and found the back of the net with a first-time shot from the edge of the box with 11 minutes played.

Ipswich went in search of a leveller but were denied by Tom Heaton who made a save to deny DJ Campbell.

City had a chance to double their lead on the 25-minute mark, when Stead's through ball found Albert Adomah before the latter smashed his effort wide.

With 10 minutes to go until half time, Ipswich made it 1-1 as Smith found the back of the net with an overhead kick from a corner.

Guirane N'Daw then looked to put Ipswich in front, but his 25-yard drive was held by Heaton.
