Ipswich Town reveal ligament injury for Bournemouth loanee Ryan Fraser

Ipswich Town reveal that Bournemouth loanee Ryan Fraser will be out for around two months with medial ligament damage.

Ipswich Town have announced that Ryan Fraser will be out for around two months with medial ligament damage.

The winger, who is on a season-long loan from Bournemouth, suffered the injury while training with the Scotland Under-21s last week.

"He had a scan in Aberdeen and that showed a medial ligament problem," Ipswich physio Matt Byard told the club website. "We took him to see a specialist in London yesterday and he has confirmed the injury.

"You can never be sure about timings with an injury like Ryan's but I would expect him to be out for at least two months."

Fraser's absence will be a blow for Ipswich. He has scored four goals in 11 appearances for the Tractor Boys and recently won the first Football League Young Player of the Month award of the season.
