Ipswich Town confirm that Stoke City left-back Danny Higginbotham will remain on loan at Portman Road until the end of December.

Ipswich Town have confirmed that Stoke City left-back Danny Higginbotham will remain on loan at Portman Road until the end of December.

The 33-year-old joined the Championship strugglers on an initial one-month deal in September.

"We are delighted that we have managed to keep Danny with us until the end of December," Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg told the club's official website.

"He has settled into the team and the club very easily and made it known that he would like to stay here when we started discussions about extending his loan.

"He is very much committed to the cause here and I know he's delighted that we have managed to reach an agreement with Stoke that keeps him in an Ipswich Town shirt for the rest of the year."

Higginbotham will make his sixth appearance for the Tractor Boys in tonight's league clash with Derby County.
