Alberto Zaccheroni coy on Japan future

Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni insists that he will only talk about his future following the World Cup.

Japan coach Alberto Zaccheroni has insisted that he will only talk about his future after the World Cup.

The Italian, 61, took charge of the team in 2011 following a brief spell with Juventus.

While Japan's World Cup hopes hang in the balance following one point from their opening two matches, Zaccheroni has refused to reveal whether he will be signing a new deal.

"I have an ongoing four-year contract with the Japanese Football Association where this World Cup will be the end of that cycle," he is quoted as saying by FIFA.com. "We will talk about my future after the World Cup."

Japan must beat Group C leaders Colombia on Tuesday to give themselves a chance of reaching the second round of the World Cup.
