Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has welcomed the arrival of Carlos Tevez, but has insisted that the striker must show "desire" for the club.

The Argentina international is expected to complete a move to Turin in the next few days after Manchester City agreed terms over an alleged £10m transfer with the Serie A champions.

"I have already said it before and I repeat that great champions [like Tevez] are always more than welcome at Juventus," Tuttosport quotes Marchisio as saying.

"It's crucial that he arrives here with the right motivation and the desire to give everything for the Juventus shirt, though."
