Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has moved to play down comparisons between himself and Patrick Vieira.
Like Vieira, 20-year-old Pogba has a long stride and he has been tipped to follow in the former Arsenal player's footsteps by representing France at senior international level during their upcoming matches against Georgia and Spain.
However, Pogba has insisted that he would like to be remembered for his own ability.
"Comparisons with Patrick Vieira? Because I have long legs they say I run like him, but Vieira remains Vieira, I want to be Pogba," he told RMC Sport. "I hope to impose myself on the France team. In any case, I will make every effort to have a great career. I will give everything for it.
"I'm here because the coach believes I'm ready. Besides, I think so. I'm ready to play and show my qualities."
Pogba joined Juve last summer on a free transfer from Manchester United.
