Kilmarnock have revealed that defender Papa Idris has been released from his contract.
The Nigeria international centre-back joined the Scottish Premiership club in March on a three-year deal, but did not make a single first-team appearance.
"It has been mutually agreed that Papa Idris shall be released from his contract with Kilmarnock, due to his lack of playing opportunities with the club and so that he may seek to further his career elsewhere," read a statement on the club's official website. "We wish him well.
Idris has played two international matches for Nigeria.
