Miroslav Klose has confirmed that he will not be leaving Lazio in the summer transfer window.
Despite leading the club with 13 goals in Serie A this season, reports had suggested that the German striker would be allowed to leave following rumours that there had been interest from MLS sides.
However, Klose has ended the speculation by revealing that he will see out the final 12 months of his contract with Lazio.
"To play another season for Lazio is a decision that I made with the heart," the 37-year-old posted on his Facebook page. "My family and I are doing very well in Rome and at Lazio.
"The fans are amazing and pass on their love and warmth to us every day. They are truly unique.
"I also want to give my support to our coach, who is a very special person, and to the whole club, to continue to develop the club's image with a positive and winning path."
Klose joined Lazio on a free transfer in 2011.
