Saturday's Championship predictions including Leeds United vs. West Bromwich Albion

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Leeds United vs. West Bromwich Albion.

Blackburn vs. Norwich (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Two Championship teams seeking to secure a playoff spot lock horns at Ewood Park on Saturday lunchtime as Blackburn Rovers play host to Norwich City.

Neither side could be separated the last time they butted heads back in August last year when they played out a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road.

We say: Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Norwich City

Blackburn can ill-afford to perform as poorly as they did at Swansea in their remaining league fixtures if they wish to remain in the playoff positions, and they will be hoping for an immediate manager bounce under new boss Ismael this weekend.

Norwich have enjoyed their recent visits to Ewood Park, though, and with there being little to separate these two sides, another entertaining score draw could be on the cards, one similar to the reverse fixture six months ago.

League leaders Leeds United will be looking to claim a sixth consecutive Championship victory when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to Elland Road for Saturday's fixture.

Meanwhile, the fifth-placed Baggies will be targeting back-to-back victories after getting the better of Oxford United in their most recent outing.

We say: Leeds United 3-1 West Bromwich Albion

Leeds will carry significant momentum into Saturday's fixture after winning five consecutive league games, and we can only see the hosts picking up three more points against West Brom, especially as they have won 13 of their previous 14 Championship home matches.

Oxford Utd vs. Coventry (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Playoff hopefuls Coventry City travel to the Kassam Stadium to take on relegation-threatened Oxford United in the Championship on Saturday lunchtime.

The U's will be seeking revenge against the Sky Blues after they suffered a 3-2 defeat in the reverse league fixture at the CBS Arena back in August last year.

We say: Oxford United 0-2 Coventry City

Coventry came out on top in a five-goal thriller in the reverse fixture six months ago, and Lampard's in-form side will be regarded as favourites to come out on top once again against an Oxford side struggling to score goals.

Although the U's have fared better on home soil this season, it is difficult to back against the Sky Blues collecting all three points here to boost their playoff push.

Luton vs. Portsmouth (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Basement side Luton Town will attempt to end their 12-game winless league run when they welcome Portsmouth to Kenilworth Road for Saturday's Championship encounter.

Meanwhile, Pompey will be looking to continue their impressive run of form after winning each of their previous three matches.

We say: Luton Town 1-1 Portsmouth

Pompey may have enjoyed success on their most recent road trip, but they have only won two of their 17 away league games this season, and with that in mind, we think they may have to settle for a draw even though Luton are low on confidence following a desperate run of results.

Middlesbrough vs. Derby (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Middlesbrough will be looking to claim back-to-back victories when they welcome Derby County to the Riverside Stadium for Saturday's Championship clash.

Meanwhile, the relegation-threatened Rams will be hoping to pick up their first win since beating West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-1 Derby County

Middlesbrough will have renewed belief after returning to winning ways in midweek, and we think they will build upon their successful trip to the bet365 stadium by recording a narrow victory over a Derby side that have lost five of their last six away league matches.

QPR vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Aiming to get back to winning ways and maintain their standing in the top two of the Championship table, Sheffield United will travel to Loftus Road to take on Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The visitors saw their lead over the chasing pack in the race for automatic promotion cut to just two points following a defeat on Monday, while their hosts fell to 14th spot following their own loss last weekend.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Sheffield United

Needing to bounce back from a painful defeat to maintain second spot, we see Sheffield United having the quality to leave Loftus Road with all three points on Saturday.

Stoke vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Watford will be targeting a third successive victory when they travel to the bet365 Stadium for Sunday's Championship meeting with Stoke City.

The Hornets head into the weekend in ninth place in the Championship table, while the Potters are languishing in 20th position.

We say: Stoke City 1-1 Watford

Stoke may have experienced disappointment in their midweek outing against Middlesbrough, but they did put together a four-game unbeaten home league run prior to that defeat, and we think the Potters will do enough to take a point off Watford in Saturday's home clash.
