Leeds United reportedly decide to relieve Marcelo Bielsa of his duties at Elland Road, with Jesse Marsch lined up as his replacement.

Leeds United have reportedly decided to relieve Marcelo Bielsa of his duties at Elland Road.

The Whites have lost each of their last four Premier League matches and have been conceding goals at an alarming rate, shipping 17 in their last four top-flight fixtures.

Leeds were beaten 4-0 at home by Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday's early kickoff, with the result leaving them down in 16th spot in the table, just two points ahead of 18th-placed Burnley, who have two games in hand.

According to 90min, Bielsa is set to leave the club in the near future, with Jesse Marsch on standby to replace the Argentine for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign.

Marsch was most recently in charge of Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, while he has also had spells at Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Salzburg.

Bielsa has been the head coach of Leeds since June 2018, helping the club secure a return to the Premier League, and last season saw the three-time English champions finish ninth.

The Whites have struggled this term, though, and a decision has allegedly been made to change managers in the hope of avoiding relegation back to the Championship.
