Luke Varney has admitted his relief after sealing a loan move to Blackburn Rovers from Leeds United.
The striker, 31, joined Rovers over the weekend on a deal until the end of the season.
Varney is now pleased to have swapped the "turmoil" at Elland Road for the chance to impress at Ewood Park.
"I'm delighted to finally be here," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"I've had a lot of conversations with the club and the manager and I'm happy to get it over the line after a week of turmoil at Leeds.
"I would have come as soon as I could but obviously the turmoil at Leeds stopped me. I'm just really pleased to be here now."
Blackburn return to Championship action on Saturday when they play host to Brighton & Hove Albion.
