Leicester City fire director of football Terry Robinson following the club's slide down the Premier League table.

Leicester City have sacked director of football Terry Robinson following the club's slide down the Premier League table.

The former president of Hungarian football club Ferencvaros was hired by the Foxes in July 2013.

However, following a run of form in which the East Midlands club have gone 11 games without a victory, he has now been relieved of his duties.

According to The Daily Mail, Robinson was informed of the decision, which was made 'purely on footballing reasons', by Foxes chief executive Susan Whelan.

Leicester are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table, five points from safety.
