Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hailed Jamie Vardy's emergence and has suggested that he is Leicester City's answer to Alexis Sanchez.
Vardy, 28, scored a 10th successive Premier League goal in the Foxes' 3-0 win at Newcastle United last weekend to move one away from breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of scoring in 11 successive games.
However, Wenger has been impressed by his tenacious style more than anything else, and believes that the Englishman shares the same lion-like qualities as Gunners star Sanchez.
"His style is very explosive and a very committed style," Wenger is quoted as saying by ESPN. "Vardy is a bit similar. They go when they go.
"They are like the lion, he has to catch the animal in the first 200 metres. If he doesn't get there, after he's dead. They are these kind of killers. When they go, it is to kill and after they have to stop."
Vardy has netted 13 league goals in total this season.
