Leicester City keeper Kasper Schmeichel has hailed manager Nigel Pearson after the club secured their Premier League status for next season with their 0-0 draw against Sunderland.
The Foxes were bottom of the top flight in March and looked doomed to relegation back to the Championship.
However, Leicester won six of their last eight matches to surge towards safety, which was confirmed with their point at the Stadium of Light and Hull City's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Schmeichel told the club's official website: "The manager deserves great credit. He's the best manager I've worked under. The boys kept believing all season.
"It's a great day for the fans, the players, the manager and the owners. We needed a run of form and we got it."
Leicester end their Premier League campaign at home to Queens Park Rangers next Sunday.
