Leicester City dominate Sheffield Wednesday

Danny Drinkwater and Ben Marshall fire Leicester City to a comfortable 2-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday.

Leicester City continued their march up the table with a comfortable win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough this afternoon.

The Foxes dominated possession from the outset and took the lead five minutes before the break when Danny Drinkwater smashed in from a tight angle.

Lloyd Dyer and Jamie Vardy missed chances to double Leicester's advantage in the second half before Ben Marshall made the game with a superb strike.

Former Owl Marshall collected the ball 25-yards out and curled in a memorable strike from distance to make the three points safe.

Wednesday tried to respond but missed their best chance of the match when Gary Madine missed the target with a header after a fine cross from Antonio.

Nigel Pearson's side were comfortable in the closing stages to pick up three points which cements their promotion credentials.
