Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on bringing Celtic's Kristoffer Ajer to the King Power Stadium as a replacement for Harry Maguire.
The Foxes have been outstanding in the early stages of the 2019-20 Premier League season and temporarily moved into second spot in the table with a 9-0 win at Southampton on Friday night.
The 2015-16 English champions are short of options in central defence, though, with Maguire leaving for Manchester United in a world-record deal during the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Leicester sent scout Sean St Ledger to watch Ajer in action against Lazio on Thursday night as the Foxes prepare a swoop.
The centre-back, who won two Scottish Premiership titles under Rodgers, has made 20 appearances for the Hoops in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
Ajer's current deal at Celtic Park runs until the summer of 2022.
