Leicester City have reportedly had a bid for CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa rejected by the Russian club.
It has been claimed that the Premier League table-toppers switched their attention to the Nigerian having seen their pursuit of Sampdoria frontman Eder stall.
However, an initial bid of £15.1m has been rebuffed, according to BBC Sport.
The report adds that CSKA are holding out for a fee in the region of £19m for the 23-year-old, who joined them from Dutch outfit VVV-Venlo in 2012.
The early suggestions are that Leicester intend to return with an improved financial package before the transfer window closes next Monday.
