League One roundup: Walsall topple Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leyton Orient march on

Leyton Orient maintain their 100% record in League One with a 5-1 victory over Notts County, while Wolverhampton Wanderers slip up to Walsall at Molineux.

Leyton Orient have extended their winning streak in League One to seven matches, following an emphatic 5-1 victory over Notts County at the Matchroom Stadium.

The evergreen Kevin Lisbie was the star of the show in the first half for the visit of Keith Curle's men, as the 34-year-old fired the O's to a 2-0 lead at half time.

Dean Cox added a third early in the second half by rifling past goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski from 18 yards out, before the visitors pulled a goal back through Danny Haynes on 71 minutes.

The consolation strike from Haynes only seemed to inspire Russell Slade's men to put their opponents to the sword, though, with Shaun Batt quickly restoring his team's three-goal margin before Jayden Stockley netted a fifth just seconds after replacing David Mooney.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers missed the chance to move behind the high-flying Londoners into second place in England's third tier, as Kenny Jackett's men slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Walsall at Molineux.

Andrew Butler netted the game's only goal on 69 minutes, stroking home left-footed after being found by the head of James Baxendale from a set piece.

Elsewhere in League One, struggling Bristol City salvaged a point at home to Shrewsbury Town, courtesy of an 85th-minute equaliser from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Jon Taylor fired Graham Turner's men into the lead on 28 minutes, before the former Arsenal youth provided a timely equaliser by smashing past goalkeeper Chris Weale from 25 yards out, but Sean O'Driscoll's men remain in the relegation zone.
