Jamie Carragher admits that he would "love" to compete at Wembley with Liverpool for the first time in his career.

Liverpool vice-captain Jamie Carragher has admitted that he would "love" to reach the Carling Cup final at Wembley with the Reds.

Kenny Dalglish's side progressed to the semi-finals of the domestic competition after defeating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last night.

"I've played at Wembley once or twice for England but I've never done it for Liverpool," Carragher told talkSPORT. "I'd love to do that but when we have got to cup finals they have been in Cardiff so I've never been there with Liverpool.

"There is a still a semi-final to play over two legs and there are some massive sides in there so it is going to be very tough. We'll take the semi-final very seriously."

The Reds have reached the final four along with Manchester City and Cardiff City, with Manchester United or Crystal Palace taking the final spot after their match this evening.
