Kenny Dalglish hails both sets of supporters ahead of the Merseyside derby.

Kenny Dalglish has hailed both sets of supporters ahead of the Merseyside derby this Saturday.

The Liverpool boss, whose side travel to London to take on local rivals Everton in their FA Cup semi-final clash, believes that fans of both the Reds and the Toffees will to continue to prove to be "an absolute credit" to the North West this weekend.

"We don't want to get ahead of ourselves," he said. "We know how difficult the game is going to be.

"Everton will be as determined as we are to win the match. Just winning the game will be important for us.

"There's probably a bit more added to it because it's a local derby. It seems strange playing in London but each time the clubs have met in London, both sets of fans have been an absolute credit to the city."

Meanwhile, Liverpool are in eighth place in the Premier League.
