Kenny Dalglish has warned Liverpool fans that they should not expect Steven Gerrard to solve all of the club's problems upon his return.
The Liverpool captain is expected to return to action against Newcastle tonight after a two-month absence.
"If we are going to be a one-man band then we have no chance, we are knackered," Dalglish warned.
"Steven will help because he's got goals, he's got charisma and he's got presence.
"He's got the lot, but we can't throw everything on to Steven."
Dalglish also said that Gerrard's return could give his players a goal-scoring boost.
"Every one of my players is well capable of doing their own job and scoring goals.
"It's just a great credit to the lads that they have done as well as they have without Steven.
"If we have been playing well without Steven - and we have - then it makes us even stronger that he's back."
Liverpool are currently sixth in the Premier League with 31 points from 18 games.
