Kenny Dalglish: 'Frustrations done and dusted'

Kenny Dalglish insists that frustrations from Liverpool's defeat to Newcastle United are "done and dusted".

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has insisted that his team have left their frustrations behind and are focused on the Reds' next game.

The Merseyside club slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United last weekend, which included the sending-off of goalkeeper Pepe Reina and an early substitution for striker Andy Carroll, who stormed down the tunnel at the Sports Direct Arena.

"Both were frustrated but that was dealt with and done and dusted on Sunday," BBC Sport quotes Dalglish as saying. "Anything that had to be done was done there and then so it doesn't fester for anyone.

"I don't know how other people [outside the club] have reacted but we have reacted properly, promptly and correctly."

Liverpool will hope to overturn their record of six defeats in seven games when they take on Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday.
