Stewart Downing says that Liverpool hold no fear as they prepare to face Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

Stewart Downing has said that Liverpool do not fear Manchester City ahead of their clash in the Premier League on Sunday.

City arrive at Anfield still unbeaten in the league, but confidence is high at Liverpool after their 2-1 victory over Chelsea last weekend.

Downing said: "I think we should look forward to it and say 'Why can't we beat them?'

"They are a top team with many, many great players, not just in the 11 but on the bench. We are going to have to be right up for it and start well."

Liverpool could move as high as third with victory on Sunday afternoon.
