Jordan Henderson: 'We're all looking forward to working with Mario Balotelli'

Jordan Henderson insists that he and his Liverpool teammates are "looking forward" to working with new signing Mario Balotelli.

Jordan Henderson believes that new signing Mario Balotelli can give the Liverpool team a "big lift" following his arrival from AC Milan.

The Italy international sealed a three-year deal with the Reds yesterday as he joined for a reported £16m fee.

The 24-year-old watched his new teammates succumb to a 3-1 defeat against his old club Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last night.

"I think everybody's looking forward to working with him - he's a very talented player, a very big player coming into the club," Henderson told Sky Sports News.

"Everybody will be looking forward to working with him and hopefully he'll give us a big lift and play some part in the next game."

Balotelli could make his debut against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane this Sunday.
