Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that he is happy to see Adam Lallana given a recall to the England squad after a lengthy period on the sidelines with a thigh problem.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Adam Lallana will be "100% fit" for England's friendlies with the Netherlands and Italy.

Lallana spent the opening months of the season on the sidelines with a thigh injury, and the playmaker has struggled for regular action since his return to Klopp's squad.

However, with Lallana having got 90 minutes under his belt against Porto earlier this month, Klopp is happy for the midfielder to continue his progress with the Three Lions.

At a press conference, the 50-year-old told reporters: "Adam's injury was a really big injury. It needed time.

"I spoke to Gareth this week and told him it was a big challenge to have him around and not use him. He needs more recovery time. I said he would be fit next week 100% - he's welcome to play him."

Lallana - who last represented England in June - has played just 374 minutes of football since making his return in November.
