Liverpool 'to submit case ahead of tribunal over Danny Ings transfer'

Liverpool are reportedly asked to submit their case ahead of a tribunal over the transfer of Danny Ings from Burnley.

Liverpool have reportedly been told to submit their case ahead of a tribunal relating to the transfer of Danny Ings from Burnley.

The 23-year-old striker moved to Anfield in the summer while his contract at Turf Moor was expiring, but due to FIFA rules that clubs are entitled to compensation for out-of-contract players under 24, a fee needs to be agreed.

According to ESPN, the Professional Football Compensation Committee will set the fee in a January tribunal, which will welcome arguments from both Liverpool and Burnley.

It is believed that Liverpool have offered around £6m to the Championship club, but Burnley feel that they deserve a much bigger sum.

Ings is unlikely to play again this season as he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in a training session last month.
