Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has claimed that he does not allow pressure to affect his performance.
The shot-stopper, who moved to Anfield from Sunderland this summer, is expected to be handed the number one role for the Reds this season following the departure of Pepe Reina to Napoli on loan.
"I don't think about pressure, though," Mignolet told the club's official magazine. "If you sit there thinking about it, you'll only get worried. You have to accept it and focus. You can use pressure in a positive sense.
"At the end of the day that's why you become a professional football player. You live for the pressure and you try to do your best."
Liverpool begin the 2013-14 season with a home clash against Stoke City on August 17.
