Preview: Celtic vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole previews Celtic's friendly against Liverpool in Dublin on Saturday.

Celtic take on Liverpool this Saturday in a pre-season friendly at the Aviva Stadium that is being billed as 'The Dublin Decider'.

Both sides have promised to field strong starting XIs, so the British clubs are expected to lock horns in front of a big crowd in Ireland.

The Reds are expected to showcase summer signings including striker Iago Aspas and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet during the match, but Luis Suarez is unlikely to feature after spending this week training alone.

Celtic have already played a handful of competitive matches this season due to their European commitments and opening-day league fixture against Ross County, which they won 2-1.

With the Scottish season already in full swing, Hoops boss Neil Lennon could choose to rest several key players for the match.

Possible starting lineups

Celtic: Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Mulgrew, Izaguirre; Forrest, Brown, Ledley, Watt; Commons, Stokes

Liverpool: Mignolet; Johnson, Enrique, Toure, Agger; Lucas, Allen, Gerrard, Coutinho, Sterling; Aspas

Sports Mole says: 1-2
