Mohamed Salah scores the goal of the day as Liverpool and Manchester City play out a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield in the Premier League.

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah set Anfield alight with a stunning solo goal as the Reds drew 2-2 with Manchester City in Sunday's Premier League clash.

Jurgen Klopp's side played out a passive first 45 minutes but got to half time at 0-0 before Sadio Mane's opener, which came from a perfectly-weighted pass from Salah in the second period.

Phil Foden would level from a tight angle for the Citizens, but Salah would once again make headlines for the Merseyside giants as he kept up his strong Anfield record against City in some style.

With 76 minutes on the clock, Salah received the ball from Curtis Jones on the right-hand side surrounded by blue shirts, but he escaped the press before beating Aymeric Laporte all ends up and lashing home past Ederson.

The goal also represented the seventh game in a row in all competitions that Salah found the back of the net for Liverpool, seeing the red-hot Egyptian equal his previous best goalscoring streak for the club.

However, Kevin De Bruyne's late equaliser prevented Liverpool from claiming all three points, with Klopp's side second in the table after seven games.
