Jamie Redknapp: 'Liverpool will beat Manchester City'

Former Liverpool captain Jamie Redknapp is backing his old side to win when they entertain Manchester City on Sunday.

Former Liverpool captain Jamie Redknapp is backing his old side in Sunday's showdown with Manchester City.

The table-topping Reds host City in a crucial game for both sides' respective title charges, and Redknapp thinks that his former team will emerge victorious at Anfield.

Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "A huge thing in Liverpool's favour is the venue; beating top-six rivals Arsenal 5-1, Everton 4-0 and Tottenham 4-0 at Anfield, while City have failed to win at Arsenal and Chelsea in this campaign.

"For me, that points towards a hugely important win for Liverpool."

Liverpool have won their last nine games.
