Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers believes that Daniel Sturridge's form will improve this coming season.
The England international hit 21 goals last term to finish second to teammate Luis Suarez in the Premier League's scoring charts.
The Uruguayan has since departed for Barcelona in a £75m deal, and Rodgers has said that his striker will take his performances up a notch in the new campaign.
He told reporters: "I think you'll see Daniel go on another level again this season, with the confidence of a full campaign last year and scoring the goals he did. Hopefully he can stay injury free this season.
"We've [also] got Rickie Lambert who will get goals for us. He's starting to really get comfortable with the group.
"I looked at the combination of Daniel Sturridge and Rickie Lambert in training today and they were exceptional; the link-up play and some of their combination play was great."
Liverpool added Belgium international striker Divock Origi to their ranks on Tuesday, but the £10m forward will remain with Lille on loan.
