Brendan Rodgers wants Liverpool to maintain 'level' in top-four chase

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers urges his players to keep the same level that has resulted in them reaching 12 unbeaten games in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has urged his team to keep playing with the same level and intensity that has placed them in the running for a top-four place.

The Merseyside outfit are currently fifth in the Premier League table, two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

The Reds are unbeaten in their last 12 league games and have won four on the bounce, so Rodgers opted to give the players two days off prior to Monday night's clash against his former club Swansea City.

"Swansea is another big game for us and we want to continue performing to the level that has allowed us to pick up the number of points that we have," Rodgers told the club's official website.

"They deserve a rest, but we'll get ready after those couple of days and look forward to the next game."

Liverpool discovered last night that should they beat Blackburn Rovers in their FA Cup quarter-final replay, they will face Aston Villa in the semi-finals at Wembley.
